I grew up loving mountains. I am not a beach person. We went to the Smokies about once a year when I was young. Tom and I started our own tradition after we married and when we could afford it. We have been to the Rockies a few times. Their grandeur is different than the Smokies. They just jut out as full blown mountains instead of the rolling hills that make up the Appalachians.
