This is the tallest sand dune in the US. It is backed by the Sante De Christo mountain range. We stopped here specifically to shoot night skies and the Big Dipper. For the first time that season it was cloudy. Really cloudy We also had a shot at it where we stopped the next night. Cloudy. I even bought a lens for this. Now I have a really nice wide angle lens.
