My faith is very important to me. I am an old Presbyterian - from kindergarten on. I went to Sunday School, youth choir, youth groups, choir, soloist, taught Sunday School, married Tom in the chapel, ordained deacon, church secretary, ran Baby Bear outreach, ordained elder. All of that happened at Norwood Presbyterian before it closed. I thought my memorial service would be there. Kennedy is now closing and we are at Crestview. The sky hasn't fallen and my faith is still mine. It's always with me. I have collected most of these over the last several years. The ones that say "Jesus loves you" I found on benches at Spring Grove. I love that someone takes the time to do that. The world is changing around me. I have to go read the rest of my chapter for my zoom Bible Study in the morning that we still do at Kennedy Heights.
Such beautiful smooth stones! I have followed your moves to different churches & remember your distress when your original church closed & also moving house changes in your life. Glad you have settled & find that the people are the church & you can get comfortable wherever you worship. I felt in a similar position when we moved in 1999, it took me a year or two to feel at home in my church.
Yes, the world is in a constant state of change and yet some things do seem to stay the same. What would we do without the hope we have in Jesus? I so thankful that He is my constant and anchor. I remember the time when your first church closed. That was very hard on you but I'm glad to see you've been able to find another place to worship. I like your collection of faith rocks and the memories associated with them- oh, and I grew up in the Presbyterian Church too!
These are very nicely printed, someone has taken a lot of time. Truly inspirational. I was given one during a recent hospital stay, by the hospital chaplain. I treasure it
