Cheryl needed bread to take to a "Soup and Bread" dinner/meeting with the Evening Herb Guild. I made some rustic sourdough rosemary & olive oil bread for the occasion. I love the process of making homemade bread and tried to capture it here.
Thank you Cindy. Great Photos...and Great Bread! I will be proud to take a loaf to the meeting tonight!

Oh I am so jealous!! I don't have luck making bread. What's the secret? Do you bake them in the bowls?? I am a little confused (it doesn't take much to confuse me!)

You're welcome, Cheryl - I hope it's a fun night.

Patti - the bread rises in the spiral bowls made out of wood (cane) - they're called "brotforms" or "bannetons" - then you flip them out so that the spiral pattern is on the top of the bread when it bakes. I've had the same sourdough starter for 3-4 years now (passed along to me from a friend), I'd be happy to share with you and have a baking day sometime. Let me know if you're interested!

Yummmmy! Wonderful pics! I am a bread-freak...can't make it but could eat it a whole loaf by myself. Hmmmm....chocolate or warm bread from the oven with a bit of butter....I'll take the bread, please!
