October 1

We went to a gallery in downtown Akron tonight for an opening reception and then stopped for dinner at a neat little place called The Lockview. The food was great and I took this shot of the Strongbow Cider that Cheryl ordered... I don't know... it just looked kind of neat to me in the low light of the pub!
Very neat photo...I was surprised you didn't post the orchids that garnished our plates...but this one is really cool and tasted good too...(I didn't eat my orchid...)

Cool shot! Don't things look more interesting once they become subjects for a photo!

Great shot, but being a foodie, where was the glass and here ANY garnish that goes on a plate MUST be eddible and I assume the orchids were not?!

@ Darrell - Cheryl did have a glass for her cider, but it came in a tall can that held more than would fit in the glass, so they brought the whole can to the table (I was surprised it didn't come in a bottle...!), and believe it or not - orchids ARE edible! Vanilla beans come from one particular variety, but not all of them taste that good! I've read that some are kind of sweet, some bitter, and some taste like chives. (I've never tried them myself - they're too pretty to eat!)

The orchid-plate-decor sounds lovely, but "cider" really speaks to the season! This only seems to hint at what a nice dining-out experience it was!
