October 7

I looked behind me at orchestra rehearsal tonight and saw this suspended cymbal "in repose." It seems like a study in potential energy! (And yes, it gets loud back there when the percussion section gets hopping!)
I love this! Wonderfully done!

Excellent shot. Have I missed something? I guessed you played, but what?

Like this! Quiet cymbal in repose waiting for the right place and right time. Great shot! This was right place and right time!

I love the stories and pictures you send us about the orchestra (I loved the picture of you with the French Horn)! I never thought about how loud it would be to sit alongside certain of these instruments! Is hearing impairment ever a long-term concern?

Very nice photo Cindy...it reminds me of a mobile waiting for the wind...

Nice arrangement there. It does seem to be waiting to release its energy. I guess that sitting close to the percussion section that you have no excuse for missing a beat as long as they haven't.

Neat shot - what do you play???

First I thought this was a chandeleir or light fixture over a dining room table...then I realized that it was a cymbal...THEN I thought...Wow! Wouldn't that make a neat chandelier? :-)
