December 14

We're pretty well dug-out here in the neighborhood for the moment... but the snow is still falling, so I think we'll be doing it all over again in the morning! Sheesh!
Oh my that IS a lot of snow! It does make everything look so peaceful and quiet though :)

and i may have to drive 30 miles to get a white christmas shot!
December 15th, 2010
Great shot!Stay warm.
December 15th, 2010
Wow, that's quite the storm! Stay warm and stay safe!
December 15th, 2010
It looks so pretty, but gosh, I wouldn't want to have to shovel snow constantly.
December 15th, 2010
Oh my, I hope you guys soon get a break.
December 15th, 2010
You do have a lot of snow!! It's the best weather to have a big snow fight and then warm up with a cup of tea!
December 15th, 2010
The light is so nice in this shot.

Stay Warm. And not by digging snow. I guess it is easier each day instead of waiting 'til it is all over, but jeepers, where are the snow ploughs?
December 15th, 2010
@farmboy9155 - the snow ploughs are out in full force, but we live on an alley that's kind of a private road - a very long driveway that only five houses share, so the Village crew doesn't plough here, it's too narrow! It extends about an equal length in the opposite direction from what you can see in this shot. I clear the alley with my mighty snow blower and then do our drive and a neighbor's and help the other neighbors with their drives when I can, We also have a rental property around the corner where I park my truck... I try to keep that driveway clear, too!
December 15th, 2010
Wow! You guys are really in the thick of it! We MAY get some freezing rain tomorrow--blah
December 15th, 2010
This is a picture postcard image ... it's stunningly beautiful! Though it must be pretty cold and difficult to live in!
December 15th, 2010
This is a beautiful shot...I love the darkness and bright lights. I love the driveway even if the Village doesn't plough it. You'll have to take a shot in the summer when everything is in full bloom...
December 15th, 2010
Well you won't be putting on any winter weight with all that clearing! How long does it usually last for? Makes for a beautiful shot though, like the warm lights.
December 15th, 2010
This is so quiet and serene looking. Def too much snow for my liking, lol. All that is missing is the snowman ;-) Better get to work. I agree with Cheryl, the darkness broken up by the lights, and then the muted snow makes for a great photo!
December 15th, 2010
The snow looks very pretty , but it must be a nightmare on the roads, do take care
December 15th, 2010
And here I am complaining about 23 degree weather! Your snow is beautiful but to much work.
December 15th, 2010
Nice shot - you're ready for Christmas :)
December 15th, 2010
Wow, you really have the lions share of your neighborhood to do. I hope that snow blower is huge. I love this look down your alley. Such a classic night shot of the midwinter.
December 15th, 2010
Holy moly, thats a lot of snow!! A white Christmas for you then, lol. Hope all okay...!
December 15th, 2010
Woah, loads of snow!
December 15th, 2010
You have there more snow than we have! But it is quite normal that we get snow step by step a little during one day but increasing until in the end of March, which our best winter month when we have got the sun back and it not so cold during days.
I thank you for your comment and wish you very happy holiday!
December 17th, 2010
wow you certainly have a lot of snow. Love the lighting...it somehow makes the scene seem cosy and homely.
December 17th, 2010
Sorry about all the snow...it's a beauty of a shot though : )
