Top of the Hill

We've been away for a few days but we're home now, so I'm gradually catching up with uploading photos.
Tonight after John finished work we drove over the hill to Hamilton. There was still sunset light in the sky when we got to the top of the Kaimais, and for some time afterwards, so I photographed while John drove.

@nickspicsnz @thistle @jernst1779 @ribelmay Thanks for your comments. When coming from the other direction there's a place to stop at the top and admire the view. It's not always clear like this! I have a favourite memory of getting to this point in the road early in the morning and seeing the valley filled with fog, and the sun just starting to come up. It was very beautiful, unfortunately I didn't stop to photograph that day.
