White Boats

Having left my photo of the day until late, I made a quick trip down to the marina before we lost the light altogether. The weather forecast was for a wet weekend, and the clouds were rolling in, but the water was surprisingly still.

This encapsulates "calm before the storm". The water looks so calm yet the clouds threaten.

The still water and the clouds look ominous. The saying "calm before" seems to exist in all languages, also in Finnish. :)
