It had been raining all day today and finally cleared late this afternoon, so we went outside to take some photos near where we were staying in the motorhome.
@nzkites has been doing lots of bird photography recently, so as the saying goes, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em! I also have started to observe and photograph birds a lot more.
I heard birdsong and followed the sound until I spotted this blackbird in the top of a willow tree. The image has been heavily cropped so I was pleased to see how sharp it was.
Such an interesting image. The bird is sharp and well placed and the unusual shape of the bush/tree it is sitting on provides an intriguing frame. Well spotted.
@casablanca We’re fine thanks, just put the project on hold for the moment, as we’ve been busy travelling around the South Island. Sorry for the delay answering your comment, hope you and yours are all well too.

@casablanca thanks for thinking of us! It’s hard to believe it’s been a year since this posting. We are doing ok and hope you are too. We travelled in the South Island for a few months at the beginning of the year, but have been back at work since late June. We’re hopeful of starting up the project again in 2022.
