Today we drove into the city of Christchurch from where we've been staying on the western outskirts, and went for a photo walk around the area of Cathedral Square. It's still sad to see the destroyed cathedral itself (due to earthquakes in 2010-2011) but encouraging that progress is being made on repairs.
The building above is the Christchurch Convention Centre nearby.
Hope they have started work on the Cathedral…..it was boarded up when I was last there a few years ago. I was impressed with the surrounding areas though.
