Before leaving our overnight parking spot at Waipuna Park, I saw these wildflowers growing in the carpark, and quickly picked some to take with us. I had to laugh as we drove to the next place and the same flowers were growing wild all along both sides of the country road. I believe it is known as Queen Anne's Lace, or wild carrot.
Later we drove to visit Kaiate Falls, and I picked up the curled dead leaf from the roadside by the stream. It made a perfect 'holder' for the flower.
