It is a very good friends birthday soon and we took her on a surprise mini holiday. She didn't know where she was going until we reached the boarding gate! This shot was taken from the aircraft window as we landed.
@pennystot@happysnaps it was hot Penelope, we walked between 7 and 12 km's a day. ( mostly 7 or 8) and were weary because of the heat. There are the usual hop on hop off tourist buses if you want them to make life easier. We decided to stroll everywhere with lots of sit downs at cafes etc. The weather was cooler on the day we left so it's difficult to say what's the best time to go. Ed and I have been lots of times at different times of the year. I wouldn't go any later than now. Unless you leave it 'til the early autumn.
