Cork woods.

We travelled through an area of cork trees. Still being cut despite the use of imitation cork in wine bottles these days.

Is that what they are cut for? Does it grow back I wonder. I realise from your posts that I know nothing about cork.

That’s a really interesting shot. It occurred to me when I’d commented on the close up picture, how is it that the tree doesn’t die when the bark/cork has been removed. I don’t know much about cork either .
