"What secrets lurked behind that rusty old gate? I often wondered.....but the gate would never tell....."
Okay, this is not the kind of picture I would normally post but I've had an obsession with this gate for a long time. I drive by it all the time and I've always been fascinated by the intricate detail in the gate and the grounds behind it. It's at a side entrance to a beautiful old historical home built in 1880. The "Perfect Tree" that I posted on May 4 is located on the grounds. All I could see, as I stood at the gate to take the picture was just remnants of what must have been magnificent gardens....or at least that's what I imagine.
