Easter has always been a special time for me. I grew up with 3 sisters and, even though we didn't get a lot of clothes during the year, we could always count on getting a new Easter outfit. Mama would dress us up in frilly dresses with a bonnet and white patent leather shoes! After church we would come home and hunt Easter eggs for hours on end.
This year will be the first Easter without my sister, Deb, who was the closest to me in age. We did everything together growing up and even though we moved away from each other we remained close and talked almost every day. She passed away in November and I've had to get through Christmas, her birthday, my birthday and now Easter.
But now, I'll make new memories. I'm thankful to have a granddaughter who enjoys hiding eggs as much as I do!
Blessings to you all this Easter. I appreciate your comments, favs, and friendship. This photo is sooc.
Beautiful shot and beautiful lighting. I loved your story, too, and am sorry to hear about the loss of your sister. Sounds like wonderful memories, though.
A stunning photo. I'm sorry about the loss of your dear sister. Your comments remind me to go visit my dad's grave, as he always visited his parents on Easter.
