@romainz Thanks, I'm glad I risked getting stung for this! @jyokota it's one of those big Japanese stingy mutant wasps. Probably a hornet, in fact - but those are not things of which I am particularly knowledgeable!
@cityhillsandsea I'm obviously not knowledgeable either but I do like it for its photogenic nature :) and after all, that's what we seek. and not to get stung, of course.
@romainz I haven't been stung by a wasp for ages, but the last time it happened, I was just minding my own business trying to eat my lunch outdoors. Thanks for the heads up about this one's identity! @jyokota Glad to hear it!
