When I was a kid, we spent countless weekends out at my grandparents' home in the desert. In fact, most of my memories of this place are from childhood, although I've gone there off and on over the years. I've been taking the girls out a lot over the past year and this weekend was the first time they really got to experience it with their cousins, which makes everything so much more fun. I hope some day they sit out on the patio in the evening and recall all the good times they had, just like my brother, sister and mom did last night.
