There is an Instagram hub that I follow called Authentically Told. The idea is to share beautiful, real-life moments. I have found that, over time, I'm less and less inclined to try and make every image look "perfect." And by doing so, I'm catching more moments worth remembering. Moments like this one, when my littlest was so excited to ride her scooter after dinner. I think that smile and that energy overshadow everything else, including the less-than-pretty landscaping and cars in the background. So, instead of cropping in close (which I often do), I'm leaving it all in (well, in the spirit of full disclosure, I left everything except the fire hydrant that was next to her!). And I love it.
