This is my art table. I set it up in our unused living room a few months ago (that light!). I used to feel so guilty about my tendency to start new projects and pursue new creative skills, mostly because I don't always stick with them. Or it takes me forrrreevvvver to finish something. But this year I've given myself permission to dabble to my heart's content. Without guilt. Without embarrassment. Without fear that I'll never be really good at any one medium (other than photography) because I try too many things. Just looking at this table, with its watercolors and brushes and sketchbooks and journals, makes me inordinately happy. I hope you give yourself permission to do something you've always longed to do, even if you only want to do it for a short time. And do it without apology.
