This large insect got my blood pumping. It was buzzing loudly and flying around my leg. I was fairly sure it was a mimic, but I stayed cautious. It landed near me and I shot pics from above. I thought it was a hornet mimic. After researching, I think it's a Yellowjacket wasp mimic. I'm not a fan of yellowjackets. Their stings hurt! I prefer the harmless mimic.
