I will not go into the woods at my friend's house. They have seen rattlesnakes on their property. I don't even like to see a garter snake!
I heard something big coming through the woods, so I got my camera ready. I was hoping for a deer, but it was just Rocky. He looks a little like a bear in this pic. :0)
same dog as the trespasser? This picture has a similar "I'm a dog taking care of my dog stuff" quality. If dog were unknown to me, he would be more scary than a bear, I think.
At first glance I thought it was a bear. I hear you about the snakes!! My hubby told me that a snake we saw on one of our walks was just a garter snake...looked more like a HUGE Boa Constrictor to me. I'm sure it was at least 10 feet long. Hubby said it was hard pressed to be 10 inches long. I was pretty sure he needed a vision check :) I'm starting to get used to Garter snakes now...so long as they stay well away from me and are not in my garden :)
