Not a caterpillar!

I was looking for caterpillars. I found a Gray Rat Snake instead! They are also called Chicken Snakes.

Not a Garter Snake either...not sure what type...maybe a Kingsnake? Still non-venomous and a beauty! Nice find!!

I saw a snake in a little tree today too. I think the one I saw was a garter snake and was sticking its tongue out at me. Gave me a fright!
