We had rain and sleet today. Late this afternoon, we had a little snow.
I took my pics from an open window. I caught this chickadee waiting out the rain. It was amusing to me that the birds were the most active when the rain or sleet was coming down the hardest.
Thank you for your kind comments and faves on yesterday's storm clouds!!! :0)
Beautiful setting for this little Chickadee. It was the same here. The rain and wind seem to make the birds even more active. It is hard to catch a Chickadee sitting long enough to focus on him. Great shot.
Carolyn, this is really pretty - the bird and the little pink buds. Our birds love the rain. They hang upside off the roofing wire, to let the rain run down under their wings to bathe. Maybe it's the same for the birds in the wild?
Looks like it's still going to get wet. Looks like your fruit tree? is already starting to blossom out. That doesn't bode well if you get some more really cold weather.
Ohhh . . he's so precious sitting there. Love the texture of the branches and the droplets of water. But the bird is what draws the eye. This really shows one how even the smallest creatures are protected by the Creator.
same mix of weather here - freezing rain, snow most of the day. the seeds kept getting covered! love your shot - the comp, the droplets and bokeh, the snow flakes, and the cute little bird
@webfoot Thank you, Paul! It's a dogwood tree. I'm worried about the buds. We are going to be down in the teens tonight. The high tomorrow is only going to be 32 F.
This is completely and totally a perfect photo!! Love the branches with the little pink buds on them, the rain drops forming on the branches, the rain coming down the DOF the bokeh...it doesn't get much better then this. Oh yea,and the little bird is just beautiful. Wish I could fav it more then once!! FAV FAV!
