I haven't posted a pic of my Yellow-bellied Woodpecker in awhile. It's a male and I've named him Woody. I see him everyday and we play great games of hide and seek.
He's the only one I've seen here. I really hope he has a mate somewhere.
Thank you for your kind comments on yesterday's pics!!! :0)
You can tell he is your friend just by the way he looks at you!! very trusting!!Your shots are always so crisp and clear and make you want to come back and revisit them....so refreshing!! Love it and FAV!
Gorgeous capture. I have a robin who comes to my garden at least 3 times every day. I have come soo attached to him and I will be sad when it's time for him to move on.
I would love to shot a woodpecker, but not with my Nikon, I have one I have never seen, but he wakes me each morning pecking on my tile roof. Wouldn't really shot him, but I even put a rubber snake on the roof, to scare him, no luck
awesome =)
I want to get a ugh telephoto at some point
i love animals of all shapes and sizes
i'd love to collect a bunch of pics like yours
but for now =) I got your albums :D
SUPER shot. I like when I see one of these on top of the branch, perched, instead of vertical on side of tree as we usually see them. They don't look super comfortable sitting like this.
