Snowberry Clearwing by cjwhite

Snowberry Clearwing

It's not a bee or a butterfly! This little insect is a Snowberry Clearwing moth. I thought it was a Hummingbird Moth at first. They are both really fast!

I think I officially broke up with my little Canon P&S today. All my insect pics from last year were with it and I could never get a decent pic of one of these guys.

View large if you have a minute :0)

Thank you for your lovely comments on yesterday's pics!!! :0)

I have another shot of one in flight for my other album. http://365project.org/cjwhite/my-little-world/03-28-2012
Wow . . beautiful wing action on there. I viewed it enlarged! My husband now owns my Canon p&s. I'm moving on with the new camera and won't go back.
