We were picking blackberries late this afternoon and I didn't have my camera with me. I saw this Widow Skimmer and one other dragonfly just hanging out. I walked back to the house to get my camera and was happy to find them still in the same place. That doesn't usually happen.
I liked the way the sun was making the wings shimmery. When I got it on the computer, I noticed water drops on one of its wings. I'm not near any water. I wish I knew how far he had traveled.
Thank you so much for your kind comments on yesterday's bee and Trouble. :0)
Isn't it interesting what you see after you get your shots on a computer?
I took photos of a pair of mallard ducks yesterday. It wasn't until I got home that I saw the arrow stuck in one of the ducks. Sad, but the duck appeared to be doing fairly well, just had an arrow sticking out of it. I have no idea if it affected its flying or not.
What a beautiful shot! Love the clarity of the wings - how nice that he was so cooperative for you - glad you named it - we have them and I've shot them - just didn't know who they were!
Beautiful capture with great focus and details. Amazing that he was still wet from his latest water encounter and even more amazing that he was still there when you returned with your camera.
