I didn't expect to see many insects today. It was cool and windy. I hung around my favorite spot taking a few spider pics. I actually turned around to take a pic across the field and saw this Gulf Fritillary right behind me. It made me laugh. I can imagine it thinking it was funny to sneak up on me for a change. :0)
