Today's pic is a moth, instead of a butterfly. I think it looks like it's wearing a cape with a fur collar. ;0)
It's a Yellow-collared Scape Moth. The collar can be yellow or orange. The wings and body are bluish black. It looked pretty against the Goldenrod.
I like the feathery antennae. Most butterflies have thin slender filamentous antennae which are club shaped at the end. Moths tend to have comb-like or feathery antennae.
