Dark Lyric Cicada

I wish there was sound with this pic. I spotted this annual cicada, when I heard its beautiful voice. When I was growing up, we called them July Flies. I had to research its real name, which is Dark Lyric Cicada.

Lucky shot! I found them SO hard to find when I was in Washington DC. They were singing their hearts out but I couldn't find one. One morning I opened the front door and there was one on the doorstep!
