This American Snout was very friendly. It landed on my zoom lens. I had my P&S in my pocket. I got the case out, removed my camera, turned it on to macro, and started shooting, all with one hand. Small cameras can be an advantage in cases like this. :0)
It let me coax it onto my hand and take pics, too. I really want a butterfly pic with it in the palm of my hand. It wanted to stay on my fingers. Maybe next time. I've had Hackberry Emperors land on me, but this was my first American Snout. It's hindwings were beautiful upclose! It never did open its wings, but that's fine with me. It was awesome to hold it! :0)
Thank you so much for your lovely responses to yesterday's jumping spider!!! :0)
