This Variegated Fritillary was laying eggs. She started at the bottom of the leaf and worked her way up. She went about her business quickly!
I stepped on another d@#m ant hill today. I counted 12 bites, including two on my hand. I can move fast when it feels like little needles are being jabbed into me! I went back later with a can of Black Flag, because it was on my regular walking path.
Either it was me or something in the air. I had a carpenter bee challenge me a little later. I've only had that happen a couple of times. I had an umbrella in my pocket. I used it like a bat. I'm fairly sure I got a home run!!! :0)
Thank you for your lovely comments, views, and faves! :0)
So educational. I had no idea where baby butterflies came from. I guess that 'stork rumor' was baloney. LOL
Ouch regarding the ants. :-( I've never encountered fire ants, but I know they are nasty little beasts. They obviously messed with the wrong lady. Is your nickname The Exterminator? ;-)
