I did something really stupid today. I found this cool snail and it was very cooperative. I decided to move it around to different surfaces. After this shot, I took it to my friend's front porch to take pics on some brick columns. It was a very bad idea.
Before I shot the first pic, I backed up too far and fell. I fell hard. I watched my camera hit the ground in slow motion. The pain in my foot was coming through, but I was more concerned with my camera. I have a huge bruise and goose egg on top of my foot and various scrapes and bruises on my leg and arm from the bricks. The good news is my camera is fine! The first thing i did when I stood up, was take a shot of the yard in front of me.
I am very lucky that nothing was broken. Not me or my camera.
Smiled at your initial reaction when you got up - typical - so glad things worked the way they did before (including the photographer!) This is a fabulous shot. He positioned himself perfectly for you.
Oh my! What we won't do for 365. Sounds like you had about the same kind of day I did today..... except mine wasn't a fall. (I've done that -- even wrecked a good lens in the process! Bummer!)
Oh no! I hope you heal up incredibly quickly. I'm so happy to hear your camera was saved from this disaster. This is a fabulous shot... well done despite the calamity.
oh no poor you I fell down a hole once and bruised my self taking a shot, don't think you are a proper photographer until you fall and chip or mark your camera its a great shot and one to be proud of.
Oh my goodness, glad you and the camera are ok, although it sounds as if you came off worse. I bet that foot is going to be sore for a few days to come. The shot is lovely, so much clarity.
I started commenting on this yesterday and something happened before I posted it ? Don't remember old age strikes again. Saw your squirrel pic so I came back the this fabulous picture. So sorry for your accident, been there done that but I had to send my camera in during my year one challenge . Luck for me it was less then a year old and Nikon fixed it for free ( not sure why it stopped working was my story ) . Love love this shot . Feel better soon. Fav
for the purpose of getting a shot! This is a great shot!
