Lucky catch

It was a lucky catch for the Cardinal and me. It wasn't a good day for the praying mantis. When I was shooting, I was too far away to see what the Cardinal was eating. I assumed it was grass seeds. I was pleasantly surprised, when I got the pics on the computer. I feel sorry for the mantis, but I've never caught a bird eating one.
