Day after the rains

Todays walk was at the Castlemorton end of the common by Gullet Quarry. The stifling moisture in the air had been replaced by beautiful fresh air. I was standing up to my shins in mud, sticky mud. The dogs were Wallowing in it. Hosing time at home.

Superb patch of light green pasture amongst the darker greens. I’m glad the weather's lightened up; that heavy moisture can be really tiring.
