El Pollo Loco, or The Crazy Chicken as my mom used to call it, came to Los Angeles in 1980. I think I discovered it around 1985. Anyway, it is my only go-to fast-food place, and Roxanne (above) is the friendliest drive-thru server at the new location near my job.
