On This Day in History...1987: Reagan challenges Gorbachev

(The following text was taken from history.com) In one of his most famous Cold War speeches, President Ronald Reagan challenges Soviet Leader Mikhail Gorbachev to "tear down" the Berlin Wall, a symbol of the repressive Communist era in a divided Germany. On November 9, 1989, joyful East and West Germans did break down the infamous barrier between East and West Berlin.

I had the opportunity to visit Berlin in October of 2010 and photograph the Berlin Wall Monument, and thought it was appropriate to share today.

@oly Hard to believe, isn't it? I was 5 years out of high school, so it's definitely been a long time. Haha Thank you for your comments. I really enjoyed my trip to Germany. :)
