Our family counts another member ! A female chihuahua, 3 months old, her name is Réglisse (it means licorice in French).
She arrived yesterday evening, she has slept well but I've already taken an appointment to the veterinarian because she threw up 2 times this morning and doesnt want to eat and drink, I tried to present her honey (i've read it can prevent or solve hypoglycaemia) but she refused too.
The veterinarian accepted an appointment in 2 hours....I'm waiting, now she's sleeping, she looks so small and so fragile....hope she's just tired of the travel and may be stressed, but she will recover very soon !
These wee wee diggs are so sensitive to change. Get her trust by offering tiny titbits and playing games - a bit like a cat. She will gradually come right - you are complete strangers to her! ...and she is a wee cutie!
you can give her Rescue Remedy - a Bach Flower rememdy that will help with the transition from her mother to your home...just put a few drops in her water

thanks for the lovely kind words, unhappily, the veterinarian was very pessimistic yesterday and has preferred to keep Réglisse with her, she said her temperature was too down, she was without energy at all....she has to be feed with a perfusion and must have an injection to fight the virus she has, so she kept her for 24 hours....my daughter was so sad and worried....we will know more this evening :(
