As far as I remember I have always spent my summer holidays at the beach, I lived so close... the sea and the breeze helped to stand the hot temperatures in the south of France...
I think colorful photos can be nostalgic too....

Love the colors in your shot. I was born and raised near the Pacific Ocean and moved inland many years ago. Miss it not being so close. You are very lucky to have it. We do have water nearby and area near that brings breezes to help cool us off if it is not too hot.
