We came back from NY, hardly...but we came back !
Our flight has been delayed 6 hours, we missed our connection in Paris ....managed to be on time to go to a dinner to friend's house ( note to myself : refuse invitation to a dinner after landing...) ...i can't remember what we had for the dinner.....oh yes a couscous !!!
Then, after the dinner : (thanks jet lag you can be useful !) unpacking, washing, re-packing my daughters warm clothes because they had a ski camp for 3 days in Gstaadt just few hours later.
yesterday my younger daughter Alix came back....she felt on her shoulder, so doctors, emergency....we spent 6 hours at the hospital....to discover she has a tiny piece of her shoulder blade that is broken... there's nothing to do just wait to fix !
I gave her pain killer as she seemed to suffer but she has been a courageous little girl and didn't complain too much!
Oh I forgot to mention I've been flashed by the police going back from the hospital, I was driving at 35k/h instead of 30k/h...i've checked on the police website : it's gonna cost me 120 chf ( = 120 usd )... Youpi !
As I was a little bit on my nerves I decided to throw my dead Christmas tree, he seemed to be 100 years old ( second note to myself : put the heater down !)…
The only good point of the day ( except the fact that Alix is OK) is that I like my shot of the day !
Don't ask me why the day is wrong on my exif ....I really don't care..I will fix it later... as soon I will have find again my sense of humour !
This is great.
Sorry to hear of the terrible journey home.
Hopefully you'll laugh about it, just after looking at this picture which will gently bring the memory back.
Sorry to hear about everything.....it sounds like you've been through the mill.....at least it's nearly the weekend. Beautiful photo....I love the decorations!
Not the best of times but hopefully your daughter's shoulder will heal quickly, your jet lag will pass and you can have a nice and peaceful weekend. I really like your shot today too, lovely detail and colours Corinne.
Welcome home - so sorry to hear of all the troubles getting there and with your first day home! A wonderful capture for today, I love all the lined out decorations.
You poor thing...what a tale you tell! I think I'd be sitting in the corner talking to myself after all that!! I love your shot and how you fill the frame with the randomly placed ornaments. This would make lovely wrapping paper!
Sorry to hear of the terrible journey home.
Hopefully you'll laugh about it, just after looking at this picture which will gently bring the memory back.
