@nickspicsnz this is mimosa, my parents brought me some branches from their garden in the South of France, it's very odorant, it has perfumed all the house !
@anazad511 in south of France, some hills are covered of wild mimosas and the hills seem all yellow between February and March when it is flowered. The problem is that the mimosa season doesn't last very long.
But my parents got a huge tree in their garden close to the pool, and they have 2seasons of flowers...their mimosa must like the view ;)
Beautiful flowers.....love the backlighting....can almost smell them from here. This is the perfect season for wildflowers.....there is a place about 1-2 hours from here in the mountains where wildflowers bloom for a short period of time....we are planning a mini trip there soon!
