Amorphophallus maxwellii by cocobella

Amorphophallus maxwellii

I've been to the botanical garden of my town yesterday with a friend, it's very small one but it was interesting.
they have some Amorphopallus, this one is a "maxwelli"...I was disappointed a bit because I was hoping to see a Titanum one : it's the biggest flower in the world, but it also smells like hell! Last year they had one flourished and I missed it....but i will have to wait some years for the next....
Awesome shot

I'm not even going to try and pronounce that! What an amazing plant - I think I remember a TV program that this was in!

Very impressive flower. Glad I can see it in your capture, without having to smell it.

Interesting POV and beautiful colors and details caught in that flower.

Is that what they call the "century plant", that smells like rotting flesh and only blooms every hundred years (don't know how true that is...)?

@margonaut yes that's the one !
But I didn't smell any bad I for with this one, I think that the Amorphophallus titanum is the one who smells really bad and it's also the biggest flower in the world.
This one was big too one the flower was more than one meter !
