In Switzerland we have to have an "atomic shelter" in the basement of all construction.
You have the obligation to install chemical toilets, tons of toilet paper rolls, some pills to test your radioactivity.... But no food
Some of my friends have transformed it in storage for bottles of wine.
In my residence we put our bicycles in it !
This tool is on the door of the shelter, may be to to stay locked in .... In case of zombies attacks...

Believe it or not, I grew up in a house in the States that had a fallout shelter in the basement. Built there by my father and grandfather (both engineers) around the time of the Cuban missile crisis. We had food and water stored in it, as well as a Geiger counter, but no "toilet" preparations. I guess it's always something, ha ha! We mostly played in the fallout shelter, but it came in handy during tornado warnings.

What interesting info about homes in Switzerland. Does this law also apply to buildings that went up before the law came into being? Love the comp, colour and texture in this capture.
