Traditional French Christmas treats : same shiny wrapping but the inside is a surprise , you can have chocolate, almond paste, fruit paste, praline, candies... plus there a little piece of paper where an enigma or a joke is written.

oooh, i remember this from when we were little children back in the old country. my grandaunt always had this in the foyer and i would grab as many as i can and put in my pocket going in and going out. aces!
I always get sick of them after a while 😂 Did you see calendriers de l'avent in the supermarket? We couldn't find them except Haribo and playmobil, so I just got my son a big box of Lindt.
