3 good things :
1- safe journey, the more I take planes the more I hate it, the flight was ...a nightmare, we were like in a wash machine, the woman close to me cried during the 2 hours and almost broke the arm of her husband, the baby girl behind me did what all babies do in their diapers...and it was smelling like hell (I've never been, but I guess !)... But all in all we arrived safe, that's the most important !
2- nice town, kind people, well located hotel, good restaurant in old town.
3- long conversation and meal with our girls about drugs, extra-terrestrials, Portuguese food, friends, future and so on...a lot of laughters, I love my family :)
That sounds like the worst flight ever. Even when things go well, flying is no fun, especially when you're tall and have to fold your legs against the back of the seat ahead of you. Have a great time in Portugal.
I will have a glass of Porto wine tomorrow thinking of you ;) and some "bacalao" too !!
