Heart 1141 for my fourth year of hearts.
I’m feeling so sad to learn and see what happened in Notre Dame, happy that nobody had been injured, but can’t imagine my Paris without our iconic cathedral ...and a big bravo to the firemen who have avoid a bigger drama.
it makes us sad, too; even my friend who is jewish was almost in tears when he heard the news! i just hope no one gets hurt, especially those who are fighting the fires. and i hope the treasures got saved, especially the crown!
So sad to see a piece of history fall away. Can it ever be rebuilt to its former glory? But as you say hopefully no one was hurt. No matter how special, the treasures are just things.
I must admit I wept, I love Notre Dame and had the privilege of visiting a few years ago, our fav spot was sat having a coffee overlooking the river and it’s magnificent architecture. I feel for all of France and their great loss.
