I was so tempted to wriggle through that gate somehow and enter the property and rock-hewn building. Places like this pull me in like a magnet. I didn’t have time to engage in much prowling however, so will leave it for another day.

oh I hear you - that kind of thing really tempts me so much! I rarely would succumb to the temptation, but that's the difference between what goes on in our heads and what everyone else sees isn't it? photography can be like that!
