Intensity of the gaze

I almost stumbled upon (literally) this good sized gator at the state historic site park as I walked along the lake taking pictures the other day. I was not paying as much attention as I should have been, but this fellow was of no mind to give me trouble. I quickly backed away and got out my 300 mm lens. There are signs along the lake that say, "Warning, alligators!" Course I knew that already. lol
