This view of one of my favorite places in Charleston is not as complete as I'd like because it was taken from outside a perimeter fence. I couldn't even get a picture of the lake if I wanted to include the sky. The lake and sidewalk around it have been closed for more than a year while a huge beautification and improvement project is completed. Everyone who enjoys the lake is getting very impatient for the work to be done, including me. It's a favorite place to walk and has unmatched open views of the sky for great sunset pictures. We are assured that the new Colonial Lake Park will be lovely and nicely landscaped. That's great. Just please finish the work!!
