The camellias have been spectacular at our state park, reaching just about their peak bloom and, for some of them, a state of near perfection. Can a flower be much more beautiful than the camellia? And, it grows in winter.

@akirk You're right, it is difficult with solid red flowers. The key is not having the flower in harsh midday sunlight. Late afternoon is best and also shooting the flower at an angle. I'm no pro. For me it's a lot of luck and timing. :-)
